EDUCATION-DEVELOPING DYLAN

Welsh Government is coordinating a wide and varied Education programme associated with Dylan Thomas 100 and the “Developing Dylan” initiative is being delivered by, and in partnership with, Literature Wales.

Supported by the Welsh Government (Department for Education and Skills), Developing Dylan uses the magic of Dylan Thomas’ words to inspire the young people of Wales. As well as encouraging confidence in reading and writing, Developing Dylan is motivating a new generation to appreciate and interpret Dylan Thomas’ work in new and innovative ways, whether that’s through rap, film, poetry or even social media. The project has been running since October 2013 and lots of young people have aleady taken part – more about the workshops for Key Stage 2,3 and 4 pupils and how your school can be involved.

Through creative workshops, a prestigious international competition, an online epic event and a live lyrical show called Dylan Live, Literature Wales brings the magic of Dylan Thomas’ words to the children and young people of Wales and beyond – more about the Developing Dylan initiative.
